Sensorineural hearing loss is one of the most common hearing disorders in the adult population and is often accompanied by tinnitus, which negatively affects the psychoemotional state and social adaptation of patients. Hearing aids are the main method of auditory rehabilitation in this pathology. Purpose: to evaluate the effectiveness of hearing aids in adult patients with sensorineural hearing loss and concomitant tinnitus. Object and methods of the study. The study involved 60 patients, who were divided into two groups: the main (30 patients who used hearing aids) and the control (30 patients without hearing aids). The effectiveness was assessed using the results of pure tone and speech audiometry, as well as the tinnitus intensity assessment scales (Visual Analogue Scale) and Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI). Results. After 3 months of observation, patients in the main group showed a significant improvement in speech intelligibility, as well as a decrease in the intensity of tinnitus compared to the control group. Conclusion. The results obtained indicate a significant role of hearing aids in reducing the manifestations of tinnitus and improving the quality of life of patients with sensorineural hearing loss.
