Epidemiology of cerebrovascular diseases in Ukraine

Summary. Article represents data on the disease prevalence and incidence, as well as related death and disability in Ukraine, with focus on cardiovascular and cerebrovascular pathology. These indicators in different regions of Ukraine, Kyiv and Sevastopol and in comparison with other countries were analyzed. It contributed to the scientific substantiation of the optimized model (system) of health care, including neurosurgery, for this contingent.
