In this paper, we present an analysis of the results of conservative and surgical treatment of chronic soft tissue wounds (using traditional methods) to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment of this pathology. Among patients with chronic wounds who received conservative therapy, complete healing of ulcers was noted in 51.5%. At the same time, among the participants of the study, who underwent surgical treatment, complete healing during their stay in the hospital (on average, 28.7±1.9 days) occurred in 60.8%. Promising areas of research of this pathology are the study of the advisability of expanding indications for the use of surgical methods and improving local effects on the wound process.
