Purpose of the work: disclosure of clinical features of pathological tooth erosion in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease. Research methods: generalization, systematization, systemic, logical, dialectical, analytical. Results. It has been established that pathological tooth erosion in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease is repeatedly associated with acid erosion, when gastric acid enters the oral cavity, thereby causing enamel erosion. This leads to demineralization of teeth, which increases their fragility, and in advanced cases can exacerbate aesthetic problems and increased sensitivity. The causes of this disease are given, including chemical erosion, mechanical abrasion (i.e. abrasion/attrition), as well as localization (erosions caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease are repeatedly localized on the palatal surfaces of the upper teeth and the lingual surfaces of the lower teeth, since these are the areas that are most in contact with reflux masses).
