Assessment of the hygienic condition of the oral cavity and periodontal tissues after the use of a gum gel containing condensed cinquefoil extract and chlorhexidine gluconate solution

The article highlights the issue of assessing the hygienic state of the oral cavity, prevention and treatment of periodontal tissue diseases, which requires in-depth study and careful selection of methods and means of therapy in the early stages of the disease. Despite the availability of a wide range of preventive and therapeutic agents, the problem of inflammatory periodontal diseases remains extremely relevant. Purpose: to assess the hygienic state of the oral cavity and periodontal tissues in the early stages of the inflammatory periodontal process in young patients after comprehensive treatment with the use of a gum gel containing condensed cinquefoil extract and chlorhexidine gluconate solution. Results. The use of a gel for gums is proposed according to the following scheme: before bedtime, after brushing your teeth with toothpaste and a brush, apply a gel to the gums in the area of the teeth and interdental spaces of the entire dentition. After 30 minutes, it is recommended to rinse the oral cavity with water and then not eat food. The duration of use of the gel is at least 10 days. Then it is recommended to add the gel to the toothpaste when carrying out traditional hygiene measures. The frequency of procedures for applying the gel is 2–3 months, subject to supervision or consultation of a dentist. Conclusion. All patients after treatment with a gel containing condensed cinquefoil extract and chlorhexidine gluconate solution showed a significant reduction in signs of gum inflammation, hyperemia and swelling disappeared, and gum bleeding during tooth brushing stopped.
