Emergencies associated with abdominal organ pathologies occur in both wartime and peacetime. They are caused by acute blood loss, trauma, or injuries to various parts of the body (traffic accidents, blast injuries, ruptures of the liver, spleen, or intestines). Symptoms of acute abdominal pathology include severe pain, vomiting, bowel dysfunction, and bleeding. The latter may be accompanied by nonspecific systemic symptoms, such as dizziness, collapse, and coma. The main objective of this publication is to provide a clear algorithm of actions for emergency medical services teams, general practitioners, family physicians, and healthcare workers during the evacuation phase. In most cases of acute surgical pathology of the abdominal organs, urgent surgical treatment is required. Timely diagnosis even before the surgeon’s examination is of great importance.
