The purpose of the study is to investigate the experience, attitudes, motivation and obstacles during continuing professional development (CPD) activities among doctors in the context of the CPD system transformation in Ukraine. The object of the study are doctors undertaking CPD events in Ukraine, and the subject are their experience, motivational factors and obstacles to training. A quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted in the form of an online questionnaire of doctors by self-completion via Google Forms (n=646) in the period from December 2024 to February 2025. Results. The study showed that Ukrainian doctors had a wide access to different providers and formats of CPD events, with an advantage of online and blended formats. The main motivators for learning are the practical need for knowledge and the need to accumulate CPD points, while the key barriers remain financial costs, lack of time and insufficient quality of certain activities. Doctors positively assess the development of the CPD system, but note the need to improve the quality of content and better match training to professional needs. Conclusion. The CPD system in Ukraine is undergoing a profound transformation. Its advantages are accessibility and diversity of formats. However, special attention needs to be paid to improving the quality of content, better control of providers and overcoming barriers to participation, in particular financial constraints, lack of time and insufficient support from employers.
