The article discusses the biomechanical and ergonomic aspects of polishing the skin around the nails as an important stage of modern manicure. The main types of polishing attachments are analyzed, and their design flaws that affect pressure uniformity and heat transfer are identified. The influence of the shape, material, and microvibrations of the tool on the condition of the stratum corneum and the barrier function of the skin is described. A scientific justification is provided for the need to create anatomically adaptive attachments that ensure gentle, controlled, and safe polishing. Prospects for the development of innovative tool shapes that combine efficiency, comfort, and biomechanical precision are presented.
