Dizziness is a common symptom with significant clinical implications, often serving as a marker of cardiovascular and neurological disorders. Its prevalence reaches 30% among individuals over 65 years and is strongly associated with falls, reduced quality of life, anxiety, and depression. This article reviews prevalent misconceptions and highlights the need for a comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic approach. Contemporary management considers dizziness an independent therapeutic target. Pharmacological treatment relies on agents with proven efficacy, such as cinnarizine and dimenhydrinate. Their fixed-dose combination exerts synergistic effects on both peripheral and central mechanisms, ensuring faster symptom control and reduced recurrence risk. Evidence from randomized trials and meta-analyses demonstrates the superiority of fixed combination of the cinnarizine (20 mg)/dimenhydrinate (40 mg) over monotherapy or betahistine.
