The relevance of the proposed work is highlighted by the need for a deeper understanding of medical micropigmentation, which is a modern method of rehabilitation for patients in the post-surgical phase who suffer from dermatological diseases or have changes in appearance as a result of injuries. For practicing physicians, this procedure serves both an aesthetic function and an auxiliary function in restoring a sense of physical integrity. Similarly, medical micropigmentation helps to relieve anxiety disorders and improves the psycho-emotional state of patients.
The aim of the work is to provide comprehensive evidence that micropigmentation can be an effective tool for both cosmetic correction and the restoration of psychosocial comfort.
Object and research methods. To achieve this goal, the work analyzes scientific and practical sources, compares the clinical and technical aspects of medical and cosmetic micropigmentation, and summarizes the experience of specialists working in the field of reconstructive dermatocosmetology. The proposed study outlines the main areas of application of medical micropigmentation. These include the restoration of the areola after mastectomy and the camouflaging of postoperative or traumatic scars. The procedure also includes the correction of areas with pigmentation changes in vitiligo and the treatment of trichopigmentation. The paper outlines the main differences between medical and purely cosmetic approaches. The differences lie in the purpose of the intervention, the indications, the technique of execution, and the prognosis of the results. In addition, the main methods, hygiene requirements, and safety requirements are demonstrated.
Results. The results of the work have shown that skillfully performed micropigmentation has the potential to significantly reduce emotional stress, facilitate adaptation to changes in appearance, and help overcome social isolation. The novelty of the study is highlighted by its interdisciplinary approach to the use of the outlined method. The interdisciplinary nature lies in the combination of surgical, dermatological, and psychological components during the rehabilitation process. The feasibility and justification of implementing medical micropigmentation into postoperative recovery measures, especially for cancer patients, has been proven.
Conclusion. Accordingly, the conclusions emphasize the need to develop clinical protocols that would highlight micropigmentation as a standard for rehabilitation care. Future research may focus on assessing long-term results in terms of the impact on patients’ quality of life. In addition, there is potential for further research into improving the training of specialists in this field.
