Resume

This article reviews current knowledge on hand eczema, including contemporary approaches to its classification, treatment, and prevention. Hand eczema is a dermatological condition that significantly impairs patients’ life quality and work capacity. Particular attention is given to pathogenetically targeted therapeutic strategies, with analysis based on primary studies conducted in both animal and human models. The review incorporates scientific publications from 2005 to 2025 retrieved from PubMed and Google Scholar databases. Advanced language models (GPT and Mistral), translation tools such as DeepL.com (free version) were employed. Identification of relevant studies was guided by specific search terms: «hand eczema», «skin immunity», «contact dermatitis society». Several seminal studies published prior to 2005 were also included to provide historical context on the evolving understanding of the etiology, pathogenesis, and management strategies of hand eczema.
