Viral lesions of the oral cavity have long plagued humanity. Most of their etiological factors are contracted by a person in childhood, with a latent or manifest course. These pathogens are able to persist in the human body for a long time, causing relapses in a state of immunosupression. Often, a similar pharyngoscopy picture in these diseases requires the ability to distinguish local or general distinguishing features to avoid diagnostic errors. Due to the mild course of these diseases, accurate data on the incidence in the population is often lacking. Specific diagnostics are not always available and reliable. The appointment of etiotropic nonspecific therapy often occurs late due to the peculiarities of diagnosis. In the treatment of these diseases, mainly pathogenetic therapy is used, and prevention is non-specific in most cases.
