Purpose: to analyze individual components affecting the implementation of integrated primary healthcare for women of reproductive age.
Object and research methods. Object of the study: components that influence the implementation of integrated primary healthcare for women of reproductive age. This study involved 95 general practitioners/family physicians, 98 obstetrician-gynecologists and 98 health care organizers from different regions of Ukraine. Anonymous questionnaires were developed for the survey, which were distributed using Google Forms. The results obtained were analyzed using Google Docs and Microsoft Excel 2010 software. Descriptive statistics methods were used to analyze the data.
Results. More than 50% of the surveyed general practitioners/family physicians negatively assess their level of theoretical and practical training in obstetric and gynecological care. More than 55% of the surveyed obstetricians and gynecologists negatively assess the level of theoretical and practical training of general practitioners/family physicians in the provision of obstetric and gynecological care. In more than 50% of primary healthcare facilities, the material and technical base «not suitable» or only «partially suitable» for the provision of reproductive health services by general practitioners/family physicians.
Conclusion. In order to implement integrated provision of primary healthcare to women of reproductive age, it is extremely necessary to improve educational plans and training programs for general practitioners/family physicians and to operate new programs for continuous professional development. It is also extremely important to expand the list of components of equipment lists for primary healthcare facilities to provide them with the medical equipment necessary for the provision of obstetric and gynecological services.
