Given the large-scale war in Ukraine, both military and civilian residents may experience not only physical disabilities (injuries, burns, poisoning, etc.), but also changes in mental health (panic attacks, neurosis, hysteria, etc.) may develop or worsen under the influence of stress, which are manifested by various functional changes in mental health, pain syndrome. Mental health disorders may occur against the background of massive stress, as well as in the case when the stress associated with military actions led to the recovery and significant deterioration of already existing neurotic phenomena that were previously compensated by the action of medications. Such patients should be examined by a dentist, neurologist, cardiologist, otolaryngologist, if necessary, additional research methods should be performed (computer tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, electrocardiography, dental radiography), laboratory tests (blood test for glucose, cholesterol, lipoproteins, biochemical blood test, coagulogram). These examinations helped to exclude organic lesions of the brain and internal organs and confirm changes in mental health. In addition, studies are conducted using international scales to confirm the appropriate diagnosis. Mental health disorders can manifest as anxiety, panic attacks, depression, delirium, psychosis, neurasthenia, hysteria, obsessive-compulsive neurosis, etc. They can be acute and chronic. These conditions can occur against the background of other neurological and somatic diseases (cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, pathology of internal organs). Therefore, the task of internists, family doctors, neurologists, cardiologists, and dentists is to thoroughly collect the history of the disease, life history, allergic history, applied treatment methods, and draw up an action plan at the prehospital and hospital stages.
