Clinical experience of treatment of chronic recurrent herpetic stomatitis

The article describes the experience of successful treatment of chronic recurrent herpetic stomatitis in outpatient conditions. Antiviral and immunostimulant drugs were used to prevent relapses: valacyclovir, a drug containing lyophilized bacterial lysate from Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus viridans, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Klebsiella ozaenae, Haemophilus influenzae B, Neisseria catarrhalis, Streptococcus pneumoniae, a drug containing affinity-purified antibodies to human gamma interferon, antibodies to histamine and antibodies to CD4, homeopathic treatment. The drugs demonstrated high efficacy and good tolerability. In 91.5% of cases, a sustained reduction in immunoglobulin M and G titers was achieved.
