Trauma of the organs of the abdominal cavity is very difficult to recognize and assess at the prehospital stage. However, bleeding due to intra-abdominal injuries is one of the main causes of death caused by trauma, which can be prevented. Penetrating abdominal injuries often require emergency surgical intervention. Both closed and penetrating trauma can lead to dangerous conditions such as bleeding and infection. Careful assessment and detection of signs of shock, which can occur immediately as a result of intra-abdominal bleeding, should be performed. The task of emergency medical workers is to conduct a rapid examination of the patient, treat shock, along with rapid and safe transportation to a medical facility.
