Vanadium is microelement, which a human needs in very small amount to keep the organism healthy. Only when there is a lack of this element, we can see its great role for the body. Today the scientists all over the world are investigating the insulin-like ability of vanadium and its properties as a supplement to insulin therapy (which sometimes is ineffective and may induce insulin resistance). Of course, the long-term effects for the body, toxility and doses for individual cases still remain an opened question.
