A comparison of visual acuity and macular pigment optical density of patients undergoing short and long-term courses of low-level light therapy doesn’t have statistically significant difference between the performance at all stages of monitoring. The duration of treatment didn’t have effect on visual acuity and macular pigment optical density of patients. In order to improve compliance short-course of low-level light therapy in patients with dry form of age-related macular degeneration was recommended.
