Organoprotective effects of the valsartan and amlodipine fixed combination and its effect on pro-inflammatory and metabolic parameters in patients with hypertension

Expressed antihypertensive effect of the valsartan and amlodipine fixed combination (drug Difors) allowed to reach the target level of blood pressure in 73% patients with hypertension. Using of the drug contributed to the reduction of the insulin resistance, suppression of systemic inflammation activity and regression of the left ventricular hypertrophy. Nephroprotective effect of the drug manifested as an increase of the glomerular filtration rate and
a decrease of the urinary albumin excretion.
