Gender aspects for combating of the HIV / AIDS public policy in Ukraine

The results of the analysis of the legal framework of Ukraine for combating of HIV infection sphere in terms of gender questions in the state policy formation are presented in the article. The study data of the gender aspects of of the HIV epidemic spreading in Ukraine during the period from 1995 to the present time are shown. The evaluation activities of the National Programme for Combating HIV/AIDS in 2014–2018 for the presence of features of gender-sensitive services and gender budgeting are conducted. Recommendations for further improvement of care for people living with HIV and vulnerable to HIV infection groups, gender-based needs are presented.
