Providing modern specialized care in patients with ischemic stroke considering the potential of the secondary level of health care

Intravenous, intra-arterial thrombolysis and mechanical thrombectomy are the modern methods of treatment in patients with ischemic stroke, according to evidence-based medicine. The analysis of literature data allows to conclude that, as long as special equipment and trained professionals are in presence, these techniques can be applied at the secondary level of health care.
