Aim — to study the influence of some indicators of neuromental and psychophysiological state on the neurophysiological state of patients with polyneuropathy (PNP) and course of the disease. Methods. 86 patients with PNP were investigated. Research techniques were a clinical and neurological research, a personal questionnaire of Bekhterev institute, diagnosis of a stress resistance, social adaptation and dominating perceptual modality, the Toronto alexithymia scale (TAS), cardiovascular tests on Ewing, stimulation electromyography (EMG). Results. By TAS the average score was 64.7±2.1. In patients with alexithymia alarming, hypochiondrial, apathetic and neurotic types of the relation to a disease were prevailed, and without alexithymia — euphoric and anosognotic types. The average score of a visual modality made 5.78±2.97, an audialny modality — 5.13±2.84, kinaesthetic — 7.13±3.03. The correlation of the level of visual perceptive modality with EMG-signs of axonal lesion of peripheral nerves, neurophysiological signs of lesions of peripheral parts of the autonomic nervous system was revealed. Conclusions. Alexithymia promotes formation of alarming, hypochiondrial and apathetic type, its absence creates euphoric and anosognotic types. Alexithymia is followed by an audial and kinaesthetic perceptual modality, and the kinaesthetic modality also prevails in patients with PNP. Increase of the level of visual modality displays process of compensatory modification of a choice of an information channel in violation of sensory mechanisms of kinestatic and audial channels.
