Сerebral hemodynamics in patients with cervical osteochondrosis and transient ischemic attack in the vertebrobasilar system

Changes in hemodynamics of the brain in patients with osteochondrosis of the cervical spine after transient ischemic attack were presented. All participants showed changes of hemodynamics in the vertebral artery. These changes were manifested by bilateral reduction or significant asymmetry of the peak systolic blood flow velocity in the vertebral artery at the level of the segment V2 as compared to the segment V1. This phenomenon indicates an extravasal compression of the vertebral artery.
